As one guest told me Bamboo has the ‘ LOVE..’. i smiled with tears of joy..and replied its the people that make it !!!
So whenever you are on your Yoga mat at home (we hope you are) try to  take a moment to think back to when you were looking out to sea at Bamboo in the Ocean Yoga class and how you felt in your body at that moment in time, close your eyes, focus on the Inhale and exhale, tune in the sounds of nature.

Our Website is now fully updated with all our Yoga Retreats and Yoga Alliance qualified Teacher Training’s listed for next season, there are so many great ones, so have a look and tell your friends as they will get booked up quickly.

Yoga Holidays with our wonderful residential teachers will open on the 10th November and run all season  with lots of Inspiration and Yoga teachings. Please don’t leave it too late to book in for Christmas and New Year stretchy fun as we will only be using our bungalows onsite this year and would hate not to have space for you.

We are working on the Bamboo Yoga cook book..food cooked with love..

Bamboo Yoga Retreat is the ultimate place to find some TLC, beautiful landscape, wonderful people, incredible food, cute bamboo cottages, and amazing yoga. Nii and Dill, the main men on the scene, were so friendly, helpful and humorous, keeping us on our toes and in fits of laughter. The resident yoga teachers were a delight to learn from bringing a great deal of creativity to their classes. Heidi is a dream and runs a wonderful retreat. Susanne was so kind and always ensured you had everything you needed and were enjoying your stay.

The food was incredibly delicious, healthy, hygenic and suited all diets. The cottages were very comfortable and clean encouraging only the best of sleeps.

This is a WONDERFUL place. Located at the end of the beach you can lose yourself in this space or choose to wander out along the beach (just a short walk) to enjoy the rest of Patnem.

Just delightful. Definitely a place to come back to.

 Cow Face Pose – Gomukasana.
Have you ever wondered why its called this? Can’t see the cow face?
Notice that the crossed legs look like the lips. The bent-elbow arms, one up and one down, are the ears!!

This asana targets your hips and your shoulders – two of the most common sites for muscular pain and tension in the body. If you have tight shoulders, daily practice of Cow Face can be slightly painful at first and is useful to practise with a strap if your hands dont touch but with regular practise it can be very therapeutic.  It can also significantly increase range of motion in your shoulder joints and balance the left and right side of your body.

Benefits of Cow Face Pose:

  • Stretches your hips, thighs, ankles and chest, shoulders, anterior deltoids, triceps, inner armpits and lats

International Yoga Day two weeks ago was the first one ever with over 35,000 participants in Delhi and a great turn out at the Eiffel tower in Paris to mention only two places around the globe..
Officially eastern Yogic practice consciously meets on a global basis. As yin and yang we work together to balance and restore the harmony and pace of life..
